Chemical Grout Injection
Aug 17, 2018

Chemical grouts are materials which mix readily with water at the time of application. As such, chemical grout provides good penetration of wet joints, cracks, and surrounding soil. Chemical grout reacts with the water to form a waterproof solid, stopping the water that is infiltrating the building or structure.

There are generally two type of polyurethane grouts–hydrophobic and hydrophilic. Hydrophobic grouts work by repelling water through expansion; hydrophilic react and expand when they come into contact with water. Both grouts are ideal for use on wet substrates and can plug a leak in seconds.

Suitable uses for polyurethane injection are leaking basements, cracked concrete, tunnels, dams, and most below grade applications.
